Help! Builders / Handymen / Painters Wanted!

16 September 2014 No Comment

Hi everyone,

RE: THE DEVELOPMENT OF OUR EVANGELISM TRAINING CENTRE AT OKE BAY LODGE IN THE BAY OF ISLANDS

From the 29th September to about the 10th of October, Ken McKay (a builder, far right in the photo below) and his two sons Joel (12) and Caleb (18) (not the other two men in this photo) will be Ken McKay, Bill and Andytravelling to Oke Bay Lodge in the Bay of Islands for a combination of work and play.

By “play” I mean fishing, diving, swimming, hanging out together, having fun etc.

A good friend Russell (in his 50′s) is coming up from Napier to be the cook for this time.

Ken is a very competent, seasoned, fast working builder.   He’s been a professional builder for 35 plus years.  He just needs some assistants in the form of:

  • Builders
  • Home handy men
  • Painters

Even if you came for a couple of days in the period I have detailed above,  it would be amazing.

Ken will bring all his tools.

We will provide the food and the accommodation, the beach and the dolphins.  All you need is your sleeping bag, pillow, and towel plus toiletries.

To see what the accommodation and location is like, please click here: http://www.holidayhouses.co.nz/properties/26313.asp

We are doing things like hanging doors, putting up skirting boards and scotia, a little bit of gib board, plus some painting. It’s mostly finishing work.

Every little bit of help counts!

If you can’t come personally, but you know others who fit the description, please send them this email.

They can contact me (Julian) by :

Thanks so much.  I so appreciate your help.
